Many Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) packaged in empty containers of Bobo juice were recovered from the gunmen who attacked the residence of the District Head of Afaka, Alhaji Aliyu

Abubakar, said yesterday.
The commissioner also said the command had so far arrested 27 suspected terrorists in connection with an act of terrorism in Kaduna and killing of policemen in Rigasa area of Kaduna metropolis.
Displaying the IEDs before newsmen yesterday, the police commissioner said three gunmen on Sunday attacked the traditional ruler shooting sporadically but that the alarm raised by residents foiled their operation. Aside from the IEDs, the police commissioner said two AK 47 rifles, three magazines and ammunition were recovered from the suspects, saying the seven persons shot by the suspects are being treated at 44 Army Reference Hospital Kaduna.
On the total number of gunmen arrested so far in the state, he said his command within four months arrested 27 suspected dangerous terrorists and criminals that were terrorizing people of the state, saying those arrested were responsible for the deaths of so many police officers in Rigasa area.
