The seized cache of arms
Well this reads libya to me
AKs, PKM,RPG’s.
Time to trace the serial numbers back and see where they originated from
Africa is awash with this kind of weapons. Viktor Bout, and his collegues from the ex soviet states essentially made africa a dumping ground for excess soviet small arms.
Nigerian army ran up against some of these weapons in the wars in liberia and sierra leone. The weapons are flown in, and then battered for raw materials. Diamonds in the case of sierra leone and UNITA’s angola, rubber and timber in the case of Charles Taylor’s Liberia.
Angola’s MPLA govt likewise battered/ mortgaged it’s future oil earnings to purchase weapons from the same ex soviet states.
Anyway, these small weapons seem so worn and beat up to be libyan. Could be from Chadian or liberian stock.
