Barely three days to the end of Ramadan
fast in Borno state, the military Joint
Task Force (JTF) has alerted citizens on
alleged “planned attacks” on military
and civilian targets by suspected
terrorists during the Sallah festivities.
The JTF, in a signed press statement by
its spokesman in Maiduguri, Lt. Col Sagir
Musa said people are advised to report
any suspicious persons and movements
to the security task force and police. The alert and advice to residents, he added, was to beef up security arrangements already in place, achieve peace and security during and after the Sallah celebration, slated for Saturday, August 18, 2012.
