About 400 personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Osun state command have been trained on handling of firearms by the Nigerian Army as part of moves to curtail the growing sophistication of criminals in the country.
The NSCDC Armed Squad trained by the Nigerian Army’s Engineering Construction Regiment, (ECR) Ede, went through three weeks intensive training in handling of firearms and maintenance.
At the Passing-Out-Parade held at NYSC orientation camp, Ede,which was attended by dignitaries from all walks of life, the trainees display their skills in stripping and assembling of weapons such as AK47 rifles and pistols as well as other kind of guns.
