National Space Research and Development Agency, NASRDA, says it has captured over one thousand, four hundred images through two satellites launched last year for national planning.
The Director-General of NASRDA, Dr Sheidu Mohammed, stated this in Abuja
while interacting with staff of the
Agency. He urged Ministries, Department and Agencies to avail themselves of the opportunities provided by SAT-2 and SAT-X in their 2013 developmental
programmes.
Dr. Mohammed said the agency would
involve direct participation for the
advancement of space technology in the
country. The Director General stressed that the agency would give attention to capacity building to meet manpower needed to drive space technology.
Dr. Mohammed said facilities available at the Obasanjo Space Centre would assist African countries in the development of space technology in the continent.

Spirit would give you the details. Yes, we have a rocketry project on at Epe. It dovetails into the plan for a ‘carrier’ (launch vehicle) for the proposed Nigerian-made satellite. Of course, the flip side is that it also would double as a ballistic missile.
