Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Niger State command says it has trained no fewer than 462 officers and men on counter terrorism and insurgency to complement other security agencies.

interview in Minna. He said the training
would go a long way in assisting other
security agencies in checking internal
“A total of 462 officers and men of the
NSCDC recently went through counter
terrorism and insurgency training
nationwide to complement other security agencies in tackling internal security challenges and protect the territorial integrity of Nigeria.”
Officers and men of the Niger State Command were part of the group that recently completed the three weeks training which was conducted by the Nigerian Army Training Centre, Kontagora, the commandant said.
Mr. Izuka told our correspondent that 17
officers and men were of the state
command; 15 males and two females out of the 392 that participated in the 6th Batch of the recent counter-terrorism training since the inception of the NSCDC.
With training, the commandant said he
could guarantee the officers and men as
better civil defenders capable of taking
up their statutory duties including ability to counter terrorism and insurgency anywhere.
