I hate that blue UN crap. The Nigerian military needs to stop doing peacekeeping, I’m all for intervention (in the national interest) but no peacekeeping
I think oga freeegulf is right. UN participation aids the NA in multiple ways. Most as already enumerated by oga freeegulf.
In addition, it aids training and active readiness as well as improving the “humanitarian” aspect of NA’s education.
More importantly, it keeps the troops out of coup-plotting troubles which is a possibility if they are idle.
It’s also helping the NA meet up with the international standards of equipping and kitting their troops.
its good money for the troops. moreover, anything that will keep the boys busy and utilize their soldiering skills is commendable.
yeah, the UN could be one ugly irrelevant mass, but it does pay well for the troops, and more peace observers from NA officers.
