The Nigerian Army Amphibious Forces’ Gunboat Companies operate a few hundred patrol boats chiefly this Chinese-built number, Suncraft(Singapore) Stingray gunboats, Dutch-built K38 combat catamarans, Nigerian-made Modant Marine MM90E and Passport 19 boats, among others.

The most commonly mounted weapons on these combat assets are the Singapore Technologies Kinetics CIS-50 12.7mm HMGs and 40mm Automatic Grenade Launchers and the Chinese variant of the DShK 12.7mm HMG
