    Interesting development in Sri-Lanka.
“SL to replace ageing jet squadrons”

“An authoritative defence official told The Island that the SLAF had received two offers from governments, which had provided a range of armaments to Sri Lanka during the war. “We are in the process of evaluating them,”

Take a guess who are the two countries and what are their offers.

    • Russellinfinity says:

China, Russia or Pakistan me thinks. What are their offers sir?

      • Bharat says:

No ‘Sir’ for me please! Gentleman.

Well my guess would be Pakistan, China and Israel.
China and Pakistan would have offered JF-17 and Israel would have offered Kfir block-60

So, here again the competition between Jf-17 and Kfir Block 60.
It will be interesting to see which one will be preferred and why.

      • AreJames says:

They should buy both. JF 17 admittedly a good fighter is a little ‘under established’ for now and in the near future. With the level of capital deployed, I don’t see this fighter establishing itself in large numbers deployeed enough to assure any country of with the foresight to look at the supply chain side of things. The Kfir Block 60 is even worse yet both provide needed capabilities at a fraction of the cost of other available platforms. So they should hedge and buy both.
