  1. Henry says:

    Beautiful nimble Helicopter.

  2. beegeagle says:

This hovering Gazelle was spotted in Maiduguri. She is the latest asset in the NAF inventory of manned aircraft and was flown by a Nigerian. Nigerian pilots fly R66 helics, Do-228s, Alenia ATR 42-500MPA-ELINT surveillance planes, Agusta A109s, AW 101s, Super King Air 350s, Mi-24V/Mi-35P attack helicopters, Mi-17 transport and assault helicopters, DA-42MPP surveillance planes, F7 jets and Alpha Jet.

On the Alpha Jet, the Nigerian Air Force have flown well over 5,000 combat missions since 1990 at home, in Cameroon, in Liberia and in Sierra Leone. WHY would they need mercenary assistance to fly those now?

    https://beegeagle.wordpress.com/2012/08/30/ecomog-air-operations-during-the-liberian-civil-war-a-brief-overview/

    https://beegeagle.wordpress.com/2012/09/02/blog-exclusive-ecomog-air-operationsii-a-closer-look-at-the-phases-and-statistics/

Now I am asking myself this question as a result of the VOA report about mercenary pilots flying fighter jets.

The apartheid-era SADF flew Puma and Alouette helicopters, Impala, Cheetah and Buccaneer jets in their wars of destabilization and survival in Southern Africa. What has that got to do with Alpha Jets and F7 AirGuard flown by Nigeria’s airforce?

    • superboi79 says:

Nigerian Pilots also fly the AW139s and the AS332s. The problem is not the foreign media sef, it is the weak minded Nigerians that feed off everything they say without doing a little critical reasoning?

      • beegeagle says:

Indeed, the country is packed to the rafters with self-loathing and directionless wimps who are blown hither by every foreign-sourced gaffe…downers who at heart feel that they are not good enough and have to be validated by foreigners for any semblance of self-worth to kick in.

      • Aragon says:

Some Nigerians were almost always happy and praised terrorists every time they successfully carried out an attack. In recent times, none of these people has yet commented on the successes of the military. In Nigeria, a former head of state criticized the military for political gains. This individual happed to be the only one who has done this. Right now, I feel like joining the army and every time I see how high morale is in the army camp, I grow goose pimples and I tell anyone who cares to listen ‘that is my dear Nigerian army’. Even the soldiers are itching to fight now and seem bored when there is no action. It is good to know that terrorists hold no inch of territory in Adamawa again. Very soon, Yobe and Borno States would follow.
        Long live Nigerian military…
Long live all Nigerians who believe in this country irrespective of all odds…
Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria…

    • Henry says:

I mean, the whole thing is bewildering. The minister of defence called our pilots the most versatile in the world……. it is clear for everyone to see, seeing the different types of Aircrafts they fly.

Our C-130, G-222’s, L-39ZA and retired fokkers are also all manned by Nigerian pilots.

Our success have attracted nitwits back to their sh*t, to save face, they’ve decided to press home another ridiculous narrative.

      • superboi79 says:

I met a NAF chopper pilot about 5 years ago(he had just come back from flight school about 2 yes before), he was type rated even on types we didn’t have then, I found it strange but now I understand.

It has nothing and everything to do with it
Until Boko Haram started there were countries around the World who privately Snickered at every Misfortune and Misstep, I know being well educated you know the German Phrase Schadenfreude
it means for those who do not know to take joy / pleasure in someone else pain with the quiet satisfaction of heh I told you so
I never used to believe all these Conspiracies theories I regarded them as rubbish then boko haram came and Nigeria after regrettable Missteps finally woke up
During this time you were away then came the game changers
Game Changer #1 Nigeria buys her first set of Tanks T-72 The disbelief that was generated by a single picture that OGA Henry and OGA ZACHARY posted was unbelievable. Nigerian Soldiers have a peculiar kind of Olive green head warmer that is specific to Nigeria, no one reader said it must be ANGOLAN
Game Changer #2 Despite overwhelming evidence of the upgraded hinds some people in countries like S/ africa and Algeria could not come to grips with it , it must be ALGERIAN @ THIS STAGE it was no longer a laughing matter for me
Game Changer #3The little birdie that fell from the sky . Despite Word on the street from OGA DOZIEX that Nigeria does have ARMED drones they were scoffed at( it does not help when we Nigerians tend to be our worst self loathing enemy) , Till one fell from the SKY and the first DRONE HIT IN AFRICA was recorded I truly believe there were a lot of COUNTRIES WHO DELIGHT in putting Nigeria down were truly upset about Nigeria having such access to such TECHNOLOGY
Does anyone remember the Stupid CNN interview ….. gone we do not have enough this or that events are moving so fast they have to find negative stories to print
How do you go from the Nigerian Army is incapable of defeating Boko haram ( said by a US General to the a select ctte in the US congress) to the Nigerian Army is destroying BH ….. There is a long gap in between and it must be filled in with the negatives.
I will stick by MAXIM : Propaganda and Journalism have never won a war
Very Good Political and Military Leadership have won wars.

    • Henry says:

      Oga jimmy, spot on!

    • rugged7 says:

      You have said it all.
Nigeria will defeat all the naysayers-foreign and domestic.
Including those hypocrites in the western press

      • rugged7 says:

I just believe ALL beegeagles bloggers should challenge these negative narratives whenever and wherever we see it.
        Nonchalance is not an option.
The narratives are being re-written NOW by the western media.
I bet u soon enough, u will hear that americans have started training Nigerian soldiers again and their “expertise” was critical to the defeat of boko haram.

  4. jimmy says:

*Nigeria’s brashy independence did not help matters*
We were not MALAWI begging for our daily bread and selling our cultural soul to approve GAY RIGHTS ( I thought this did not Matter – it does ). I heard from People who heard about the GAY phone call from XXXXX to GEJ imploring him not to sign the gay bill nah I said till the BUSHMAN from UGANDA blinked , his hand wavered, shook? and- he got rewarded for it , but GEJ signed his and got punished for it, I am not a GEJ fan but some of the stuff that went on due to boko haram truly made me shake my damn head.
Let me stop here before people truly think I have gone Crazy.🙂

    • beegeagle says:

For those Westerners who call for proof when things are going well for Nigeria but not when tales are made up by your newshounds, the screengrab of the Gazelle was obtained from these videos.

Watch them and prove to yourselves that they are in service. Proof lovers who pick their fights and causes…nobody asked REUTERS or VOA for proof o.

  5. beegeagle says:

The VOA want us to believe that Nigeria need mercenary pilots for Alpha Jets after haven flown them in combat for 25 years. PATHETIC spin. That writeup is merely a fightback from America. We have defied them, their much-hyped weapons, ditched their ineffectual training and gone ahead to get 1,200 commandos trained in Russia. We also acquired weaponry from Russia, Ukraine and China to call their bluff. That is why a punitive media offensive against Nigeria is underway.

It is the most diabolical twist in a long chain of episodic backstabbing by Americans who continually claim to be doing thr most to help Nigeria at this time YET her verbally incontinent officials are either running down the country at White House conferences or using the VOA, an organ of the US State Dept, to churn out false and invidious narratives about Nigeria’s war effort.

Well, the same clueless NAF operate far more advanced ELINT planes – the same kind of hi-tech operation which the US and British airforces reportedly came to undertake in Nigeria with a view to finding the Chibok girls.

The truth is that CHRIS STEIN of the VOA, like Heather Murdock before him, has always been exceptionally negative in his Nigeria reportage. It is only in this country that sinister foreign journalists are treated with undeserved reverence. Murdock got deported from Ethiopia for her nation-wrecking kind of reportage. Google that.

Chris Stein appears to be VERY CLEARLY compromised and that is why he has even been channeling his Twitter feed to #NIGERIA DECIDES. Can he be described as a neutral observer? I think not. Nigeria is meant to decide based on conjecture, even as America used PMCs in Iraq and Afghanistan and nobody in America was enjoined to decide on the strength of that fact?

Since we are doers and not talkers, I am posting this to his TWITTER page right away. He is at liberty to either read or trash it. Be sure to keep updated via my Twitter handle@beegeaglesblog. A lot has been ongoing all through this week. If you are not reading our Twitter feed, you are missing out on the holistic picture.

    • asorockweb says:

      It’s racial bigotry.

The myth was that African Americans couldn’t fight until they fought with great success during the American civil war.

The myth was that African Americans couldn’t fly in combat, until the “Red Tails” successfully escorted 1000s of bombers into Nazi Germany.

There were other myths as well – “Blacks can’t play quarter back”, “Blacks cannot lead”.

These fools have dug themselves into a ditch and we are letting them get away with it.

Gen. Chris, you need to setup an interview with some of our gunship pilots.

There’s nothing wrong with using PMCs, what is painful is the idea that a handful of PMCs is doing all the fighting.

      • Capt Tobias Wilcock says:

Do we really need PMCs, we all the wealth of knowledge within the system, We should have envisaged this outcome, also the counter – response has not been adequate, there is need to actually do some shots of our Nigerian crew pre , engaging and post an air sortie. If this is left to go unchecked the blood and sweat of our guys would not be know as national sacrifices that saved us all not mercenaries. In addition to Asorockweb, the first jet shot down in air to air combat was achieved by the Red tails, using a Mustang prop fighter to out gun a ME262. It is all about race and race superiority, when we refuse to make our own basic armament. praise to high heavens all this foreign produced armaments that are procured ( no continuous battle analysis of the Igirigi ), We act as if we have no faith in ourselves, We give grounds for the western media to batter us. the idea of foreigners fighting our wars under any guise PMC or not acceptable, their is enough knowledge and experience in the system, it means we are not intelligent or organized enough to study a situation, adapt improvise and overcome. true the US military used PMCs in Iraq and Iran, they were not employed for lack of not knowing what to do, but more for economical reasons and beating the political red tapes, after all they were mostly products of the US military. In our case it is different for being black Africans we are deemed as being overcome by the necessary “white Messiah” complex. This false narrative must not be permitted. The issue is still fresh and it is not too late to turn the plot on this racist western media with their low IQ Uncle tom reporters,

  6. beegeagle says:

I am engaging with CHRIS STEIN on Twitter as we write this. He asked how long they have been fighting alongside our guys? Where are you folks on Twitter?😥

    • ScouseNaija says:

She has been banned from Yemen as well, so she definitely has something wrong about her. Horrible piece of work she is

    • igbi says:

May God bless you in infinity Chief.

    • rugged7 says:

      lol,
These chaps are just pumping out western, borderline racist propaganda of how 150 “white” soldiers have saved the bacon of the Nigerians by clearing 36 local governments by themselves.
      it’s almost enough to make u puke…

      • rugged7 says:

This is the chap’s twitter handle @ChrisJStein.
I think we all must challenge these narratives of these neo-colonialist imperialists.
By clear fact checks to prove the lies they keep on re-hashing.
But immigrations should seriously consider deporting all these clowns reporting from Nigeria for these foreign news services.

  7. Capt Tobias Wilcock says:

The accusation of employing mercenaries has to be tackled head on, this is quite serious, the Government has to engage and confront the VOA direct and if need be take them to Maiduguri to show which of the aircraft is being flown by the so called South Africans. It is all over the press and media in the West. they have lost their narrative of a helpless and losing Nigeria, just the same way they expected us to be wiped out by Ebola, the Federal Government must not let go till this guys are made to recount their false reports and propaganda in public.

  8. colloid says:

Oga beegs, what chris stein twitter handle

  9. colloid says:

Have posted before i saw your response. Thank you Oga.

  10. makanaky says:

Its the duty of every Nigerian to refute this negative perception of this war and the issue of unfounded mercenaries, to be honest it is fuelled by our clueless and stupid Nigeria media.

  12. Capt Tobias Wilcock says:

Pardon my typos, a lot of my military colleagues from the west have stopped greeting me

    • asorockweb says:

      Why?

      • Capt Tobias Wilcock says:

They thought by some dream they might end up on some African adventure, which I have told them would not happen, Nigerian Military is competent more than enough and they should mind there own nations business.

  13. freeegulf says:

the funny thing about this stupid tale of SA mercs is that they cant even bring up a good age group that will do this their phantom fighting. if they say ex south african military then they must be referring to the old sadf. the last time those guys fought was over a quarter of a century. how old we these 150 fighters be by now.

there is a smear campaign going on, is part of a globalists liberal agenda, and nigeria is in their cross hairs. we do not know how deep these guys re ready to go to see their plans for nigeria unfold. they will all come to nigh. nigeria is moving forward, they cant do nothing about it

  14. freeegulf says:

nigeria has always been unique on the african continent. the generalized contemptible argument that the west paint of africa fortunately do not cover us. so they can go on with their verbal diahrrea. we are a moving train and they are mere wishful thinkers, and stupid ones at that

Ex-U.S ambassador to Nigeria weighs in- John Campbell
The known bigot never fails to disappoint…lol
    http://blogs.cfr.org/campbell/2015/03/13/mercenaries-in-nigeria-part-ii/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

  16. beegeagle says:

That ancient clown and irritant called John Campbell is a hostage to his sources who only speaks when Nigeria is on the ropes. Why did he not break the news himself? He reads and validates because it favours his narrow-minded agenda?

His puppeteers are most probably Dr Jibrin Ibrahim, Dr Kole Shettima and Shehu Sani.

He and his cohorts read this blog. Campbell should come out and deny his association with these known, bigoted torchbearers for anti-government interests embedded in those buccaneering and trashy ‘activist’ circles who feed from donor aid and sell their countrymen for a mess of porridge.

  17. igbi says:

These clown-western journalists must be sent back home before the elections because their intentions don’t look very well.
