OPERATION RESTORE HOPE, SOMALIA: NIGERIAN ARMY OPERATIONS
Nigerian troops bust a Somali snipers’ nest
Nigerian troops finally overwhelm a Somali sniper who had been taking shots at them for several days
Nigerian soldier engages a Somali sniper in a gun battle in Mogadishu
This was 1990 or 1991 I think, I remember seeing the top picture and reading rhe article in Newsweek or Time magazine
Fellow patriots,
We have sacrificed so much for peace to reign worldwide.
I pray to God that
Peace will once again reign from Sokoto to Calabar
And tranquility from Maiduguri to Lagos.
I pray that violence shall no more be heard in our land,
Nor destruction within our cities
But that our walls will be called “Salavation”
And our gates “Praise”
Amen.
So let it be written, so let it be done. AMEN.
AMEN and AAAMENN!
Do you realize that these are the first ever PICTURES offering documented proof that Nigerian and American Soldiers served together. Well done Mr Beegeagle, these are some wonderful pictures and to that young man in the picture wow!
ECOMIL INTERVENTION IN LIBERIA, 2003
