@Ademola. An 82 Div formation. Can’t remember which now.

  2. Ademola says:

  3. jimmyhollyee says:

On that day this picture was taken (nadcel 2012), the G-222 transport plane made two runs, inserting 30 troops behind enemy lines each, that 60 troops in total. It was an amazing sight to behold( it was shown live on nta). The army narrator on the day said that this method has been applied in mountainous regions or areas where accessibility by road is has been ruled out, when members of the jstf carry out counter-terror operations. Among the paratroopers where 7 women.

The second photo also taken during the nadcel 2012 celebration showed members of the nigerian army special counter terror unit/ special forces commandos rappell into battle, all personnel in black gear (uniform, body amour, helmet, night vision google , facial mask) and of course carrying black AK rifle (I’m guessing the rifle is an ak-102, I don’t know for certain). There where 16 special anti-terror commandos in the demonstration, 4 groups of 4 commandos. What struck me was when the army narrator said that the special anti-terror commandos do not know each other, they train in facial mask’s, only the commander knows each member of his team. I thought to my self, is this not extreme.

    • peccavi says:

Yeah thats bullshit (the whole training in a mask thing)!

    • tim says:

That is too extereme, and it will affect them in combat, as they will lack friendship and body language communication…which goes a long way….except they are a sucide squad……. It was the eastern soviet union that used to train this way….the polish grom still train this way…… I will never put men that don’t joke and quarrel with each other regularly in harms way together.

      • peccavi says:

Theres no spec ops unit that trains with masks all the time? What’s the benefit? are they terrorists?
Met some Grom in Iraq, very scary people. The guy was just talking nonsense It would be interesting to know what the selection criteria is and what the course consists of though.

      • tim says:

You were in iraq? What were you doing there? Observer mission?

  6. jimmyhollyee says:

    Oga Henry
Thank you very much for the pictures and the fact that we have seven female paras on board I am shocked no really shocked WAY TO GO 82!
NO IT IS NOT EXTREME you follow orders not facial recognition and you as a special forces guy apart from your commander should have your identity preserved.

  7. Ademola says:

The spec ops guys might actually know each other. But i believe they wear mask during training, maybe bcos they get into brutal hand to hand combat with eachother(sort of like spetnaz).
Also, i suspect dat d guys dat did martial arts display on friday of army week, were spec ops guys. dey used a the same black rifle.

  8. peccavi says:

Wetin I go dey observe for Iraq?

  9. Henry says:

Lol, @oga peccavi…… Your sense of humour these days nawa oh!!!! ” may be, em dey expect say u go iraq go count stars, since you don count all the stars for britico finish”………lol …… I believe oga tim meant know harm by his question and was just curious like all of us (oga peccavi included) on the blog.
You never know with nigerians, we are everywhere like the chinese (african chinese). Here is a weird fact for every nigerian on this blog. AFREN oil company (one of nigeria’s biggest indigenous oil coy) has begun oil drilling in iraq. Iraq might be a troublesome and unstable, but not enough to stop a nigerian firm, AFREN, which says it has commenced oil exploration at the east simrit prospect( simrit-3 well) located on the AIN SIFINI in the kurdistan region of iraq.

Excerpt from thisday newspaper following a statement by the chairman of AFREN, Egbert Imomoh.

So you can never predict when it comes to nigerians.

    Happy independence day!!!

  10. chidez says:

@tim oga peccavi is an Isaf veteran ( he follow go fight sadame husein wey we dey hear about for cnn those days wey america say him bin get nuclear weapons -but we no come see any nuclear weapons; I wonder if he still dey hide am).

Oga peccavi maybe he think say you go serve as referee (observer) between the two warring factions so that cheating no go occur!

  11. peccavi says:

    Mba ohOga Tim. British Army
Iraq was not a NATO op I was in MND-SE,Basra

    • jimmy says:

You have been in some REALLY ROUGH PLACES I understand NOW WHAT SHAPES YOUR OPINION

      • doziex says:

De guy nah certified bad guy.

Even though I dey quarrel with the UK for my head, tout le temps, I envy/admire @peccavi’s position/experience with the british army.

Sometimes, I wonder if @peccavi, and @chidi (another UK army chap), are the same person ?

Hmmm, as soon as @peccavi tuned in, @chidi tuned out.

  12. jimmy says:

No they are not OGA CHIDEZ will you agree some parts of the time F.M. if i am in a really bad spot in some GOD FORSAKEN part of the world ( falloujah, kandahar, somewhere in a drug infested colombian JUNGLE) I want F.M BY MY SIDE HE NO DEY GREE SURRENDER even when he is wrong lol!

  13. originalpato says:

The authorities would do well to obtain helos designed with special ops in mind, and not these noisy Mi 24 that can be heard from a range of 5 miles
