    This is a staggering seizure. From our time as underlings in the oil sector, we know that

    1,000 metric tons of product = 1.164 million litres

    2,500 tons = 2.910 million litres

    * 882 trailerloads (of 33,000 litre tankers)

    OR 14,195 barrels of crude/product

    Do the math.

    You are in order, sir.

    With that kind of money, they can acquire quality AKs, GPMGs and even some RPGs thrown in. Somebody is still wondering why there are so many small/medium arms in Nigeria?

    Cut off oil theft and you will see a drastic reduction in the number of small arms in circulation.

    Now, when are the thieves going to be prosecuted, publicly humiliated and sentensed?
