When I say these things, some folks want to resort to a jingoistic, so called pro nigerian stance, without 1st doing the honorable thing, and admitting that my past analysis were spot on.

I have now being saying that we ended our relationship with STTEP too soon.

NA actually needs to apply. Colonel Eeben’s concepts more now, than when BH was fighting in a conventional mode.

Remember how they tracked savimbi/unita, and then RUF of Sierra Leone, and LRA in uganda/drc/south sudan.

Let’s show some necessary humility, and realize that these skill sets takes more than 3 months to master.

President buhari cannot fight this war based on the election campaign bravado, we need to marry those best suited for this job, and our improving armed forces, to finish BH once and for all, before they recuperate, regroup and reemerge.

    • Roscoe says:

Your past analysis was spot on, I hailed you on Eebens post or some other post. I do not think the relationship with STTEP is ended (is it?) But the model of the 72 MSF needs to be rolled out to other “hunter killer” squads.

Right now there are two concerns with BH, and I think STTEP can only help with one.

      1) Running BH to ground – This would be with the use of search and destroy units to hunt/tracking them and kill/capture small units, air attack to destroy massed units and convoys, recce squads to find and call in air strikes and arty, snatch squads (STTEP can help train units that operate in hostile territory).

      2) Destroy suicide bomber and terror cells embedded in population centers: We on this blog saw this current spate of bombings (hence the total lack of surprise in the blog commentaries with the almost daily bombings). And wondered out loud if DSS and the police were ready with intel and responses to it (they are not).

Cells are running around in Maiduguri and Yola and have not been shut down yet. (STTEP cannot help with this), we need either a local solution or we raise our hands and ask for help from Isreal, US or RUssia on strategies to combat it current DSS intel, or NSA counter terror initiative is ineffective.

An over arching problem is what is the situation with civil authorities being re established in Bama, Kukawa, Marte, Gamborou, Baga, Damaska, Abadam, Malam Fatori, Michika, Madagli, Buni Yadi and small villages in the other areas. If there is vacuum in civil security , civil governance or security in these areas it will be filled by undesirable criminal or religious elements.

  2. doziex says:

Also speaking, of those lecturing NA on human rights, and amnesty international’s hypocritical stance,
Does anybody here recall General Rodriguez, the africom boses’ last significant post ?

Funny, he was the coalition’s military boss in iraq at the time of the abu ghraib scandal.

I recall that the scandal cost him that post.

Yet under his new command at africom, he has antagonized NA at every turn, instead of showing understanding, of the difficulties in waging a counterinsurgency.

He accompanied SOS John Kerry to PMB inauguration, i guess as some form of peace offering.

Oga president, if your military advisers dont know this much, fire them.

Your advisers must make it their business to know everything necessary to give you the sound advise you need to make the best decisions on Nigeria’s behalf.

This was severely lacking in the last administrations conduct of affairs , don’t take it for granted.

  3. Oje says:

Nonsense, we can neutralize Boko Haram by sheer fire power and scale. This is the largest and most equipped military in SSA for crying out loud, the pride of West Africa why should we have problems defeating an enemy with no Navy and air force. I still have a hard time figuring out the Nigerian choosing to fight with just 25 thousand men despite the fact that the biggest defeat suffered so far by the Nigerian army occurred because they were outnumbered 3 to 1. The battle ground in the North East is mostly sparcely populated. 50,000 troops should be enough to weather down Boko attrition in sheer volume and fire power.

    • eyimola says:

Thats all. Saturate the enemy with man power,

    • Roscoe says:

@Oje, I disagree, overwhelming force will not work against an enemy who will not engage a superior force directly, they will go to ground in terrain familiar to them, like a rodent goes to ground when it notices a hawk or a wolf, we will have to hunt/kill/dig them out using small land highly maneuverable forces, we will have to win the hearts and minds of even BH and break their will to fight, we cannot go in with a conventional force and destroy an enemy practicing Fabian warfare.

This war is about the mind, BH is not trying to destroy us as a nation directly, they are trying to sow seeds of disorder so that we will collapse on ourselves, we must turn this around and divide and neuter.

    • Eugene4eveR says:

I totally agree 110%. Saturate the battle-space with men & materials, then bomb the shit out of the un-washed hordes.
We will emerge victorious, just like the mighty Soviets in Afghanistan and NATO in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

      • Roscoe says:

@Eugene4eveR … Lol , no need for sarcasm, we are all citing our opinions. However you do make a very good point, we cant beat them with firepower. Other illustrations are America in Vietnam, the British in the Boer war, the British in the American Revolutionary War, Hannibal in the invasion of Italy, you cant win wars of attrition against smaller, more mobile forces.

    • Capt Tobias Wilcock says:

When the snake is lured out of the hole, an opportunity for massive hammering strike presents it’s self, to make sure that the attack is blunted and stopped, the retreating forces are tracked and destroyed before melting back into their hole. What is the problem with the last few Maiduguri Attacks, how come they were not pursed and destroyed also why was their staging area and Camp not identified by our ISR assets during the melee. With each strike they get bolder. Also the Suicide bombers can be located and identified easier within the help of local residents before they act by the Civil populace or CJTF operatives, detecting this bombers within the population requires a lot of local knowledge and acceptance by the indigenous people. There is need to further establish serious Military and Civilian trust and cooperation, and also increased military presence on the ground and in the air during. especially during the night time.

      • Roscoe says:

And this is why we need good hearts and minds, the civil populace and even members of BH need to be used as sources of information.

    • chynedoo says:

How do you overwhelm an enemy that has gone into ghost mode with monster firepower? Those BH savages simply mix with the civilian population and then conduct opportunistic strikes. There is almost no way of discerning who is a BH fighter, or a potential suicide bomber in the NE especially in crowded places such as markets, mosques, schools, and churches. Would your suggestion of firepower work in such places without further cry and hue about human rights with all the negative attention being beamed on the conflict in the NE. NA and the govt should pay more attention to improving intelligence gathering capabilities of the military, DSS and the police. Making it difficult for Boko Haram to operate, move fighters and weapons from point to point, disrupting BH’s human and non-human communication networks would vastly reduce their abilities to operate at all. This could force them to resort to risky conventional methods thus making them easy to identify and neutralise by forces on the ground.
It also appears that BH’s logistics and financial networks are still intact. The govt needs to squeeze these vital channels in order to further cripple these terrorists’ operational capabilities

    • Are James says:

      Supported fully.

    • Eugene4eveR says:

Painful thing about the story is how our poli-THIEFcians (in & out of uniform) will mess up an opportunity like this, if a boko ASS-ram posed in front of a well known building and indicated that it is a command HQ.

    • chynedoo says:

Why are the Americans make it public? Some other moron selfie-addicted terrorist could have possibly led them to where the ISIS chief is hiding…
Two morons, I’d say. One terrorist moron and one American general who is no less a moron

SUICIDE BOMBERS AND OTHER TERRORISTS DIE AS TROOPS REPEL ATTACK ON SHETIMARI

Two suicide bombers leading a band of terrorists were among over a score of those of them who died as troops succeeded in repelling the terrorist attack on Shetimari in Borno State yesterday (Thursday) evening. Over 12 rifles and 1 machine gun were captured from the terrorists group as the attack was repelled. Also recovered from the group were rocket propelled grenades and some bombs.

Troops conducting mopping up operation are still combing the area while others are in pursuit of those who are on the run.

Incidents of suicide bomb attacks were also recorded in Jimeta Yola and Maiduguri yesterday evening. Details are still forthcoming.

Meanwhile, the offensive operations in Sambisa and other forest enclaves of the terrorists are continuing with intelligence activities, aerial surveillance and highly coordinated air bombardment backed by ground assaults. Details as operations progresses

Permit me to digress a bit…

War between the United States and China which will draw in Russia and as a consequence NATO is now inevitable. Knowing the futility of going to war with America its nicely veiled preemptive actions are ”in an eerie way” geared towards negating America’s lead in electronic and information technologies.

These events have taken place in just the last 8 months.

*Creating an artificial ADZ (air defence zone) in the Island claimed by both Japan and South Korea.

    * Investing in power projection systems with an aircraft carriers, long range missiles.

    * Developing ASAT capabilities to blind the American eye from Space

    * Signing a $400 billion oil deal with Russia

    * Russian long range bombers testing North American early warning systems with its persistent overflight , sometimes off the coast of California.

    * Land reclamation and weatherization on disputed territory far out at sea with runways and air defense batteries

Lastly, just last year U.S NSA Chief warned China might launch a vicious Cyber attack on key American infrastructure. Today as of this writing the U.S is accusing China of launching the biggest Cyber attack on America in history, hitting U.S Federal workers and affecting roughly 4 million people.Sooner or later something has to give and i see war looming.

    • Sir Kay says:

What do you think will happen it China decides to cash in on its debt, I mean, the US is owing that country over 1 trillion dollars.
And i watched a documentary once, that the US used its Manufacturing factories to turn the tide of www 2, basically by converting them into ammo producing sites, today such factories are virtually non existent, whereas in China, they now have those in abundance since they’ve become a Manufacturing hub, so that will work against the US

      • lachit says:

        @Sir Kay
this is the only reason why US is going to engage china in war in the first place.
redeaming the bonds is a lengthy process .the moment US gets whiff of it .US will escalate the situation.
and why do u think china in the first place bought those bonds, it wanted to control US economy and finally US but i think that move has failed.
yes china is a manufacturing hub but u fail to realize that many components are still sourced from other countries.
eg the rare earth materials for the aircraft engines are souced from outside.what hapens if china is embargoed.even russia dont have enough stock ,it is going to look after its needs first and so no question of supplying to china.
u ever heard of the LYNCHPIN THEORY.it is said every country has a weak and vernurable spot.depends who will exploit it first.US cia nsa has a whole brigade size analysts backed by supercomputers just trying to figure the lynchpin.
china was hacked big time withen the last 12 months my sources tell me.several countries were involved.infact the various targets were so selected so as to hide the actual intended target.funny thing it never made it to the news or maybe it was never detected except by curious/nosy intelligence operatives of a few interested countries.

      • lachit says:

        @Sir Kay
also i forgot to mention that in china most of the factories are located in special industrial economic zones concentrated east and south east regions of the country.
50-100 EMP bombs especially the electronics frying one will bring all the factories to a grinding halt for a long long time.
and to take out the power grids supplying these factories send another 50-100 carbon fibre dispensing pods housed in cluster bombs to short circuit the power sub stations, power generating units, primary transmission grids .everything will come to a grinding halt.
also for a good measure send bunker bursting bombs into the major hydroeletrical dams.
all these will take around 300-400 long range cruise missiles considering some might be shot down.but if all of them are fired in a saturated salvo from multiple platforms at a time 90% will get through the chinese air defense.
so much so for being a manufacturing hub.welcome to the dark ages.
what happened in WW2 is not relavent in todays high tech and much different war environment.a small nation can easily take down a bigger adversary if they have the tech.
and this can happen to any country.
        regards

Mozambique has acquired the Ocean Eagle 43 a sea patrol trimaran of revolutionary concept
The designers rationale behind its purpose was clear ie to design and build a suitable tool for missions of sea patrol and control enforcement over large areas and for long periods of time, accessible to States deprived of the capacity to invest hundreds of millions in one vessel, indispensable as it may be.
it has a streamlined shape of a Polynesian canoe stabilised by two lateral floats.
this patrol vessel can carry fixed or rotary wing UAVs on a small launch pad, high performance RHIB, optical and radar sensors, air-sea radio transmission of satellite data and a medium calibre remote controlled gun turret.
also provision for small sized anti ship and anti submarine missiles exist for future upgrades.

as of now Ocean Eagle at 43 – 43 metres long for only 75 tonnes – is a highly modular vessel of astonishing performance: a range of 3 000 nautical miles (5 556km) at 18 knots, 1 700 nautical miles (around 3 200km) at 30 knots and the possibility to cover 5 000 nautical miles (nearly 9 300km) at economy speed. The OE43 is designed to carry a 300kg class UAV (e.g. the Schiebel Camcopter S-100), a 7 metre response RHIB, a team of commandos, radar and optical sensors and a telecommunications system. It is also has class IV ballistic protection on the wheelhouse, a 20 to 30 mm remote controlled cannon (configuration successfully tested by CMN on a 15 metre DV15 RWS interceptor), a satellite data link enabling transmission of image, video and tactical information to a land base or other vessels, a combat system interface (CMS) and an integrated navigation system (INS).one of its key feature is High modularity.

    can anybody identify this aircraft.?

the amount of modification that has gone into it is astonishing.almost doubling its capability.
this is a good example of of innovative and out of the box thinking.
    @Capt Tobias Wilcock
u seem to be a supporter of the jaguar strike aircrafts .the good news is that IAF said that they believe that the Jaguar Strike aircrafts are very capable aircraft which have enough life left in them and can serve Indian air force till 2034.
IAF Plans to rejuvenate its fleet of 123 Jaguars with re-engineering it with more powerful engines. Jaguars is powered by Two Rolls-Royce/Turbomeca Adour Mk 102 turbofans which generates 32.5 kN of thrust which will be boosted to 43.8 KiloNewtons (kN) of thrust, when they are re-engineered with Honeywell supplied F-125N engine .
Jaguar aircraft are usually tasked to carry out deep penetration strikes against enemy ground targets, air bases, land forces and warships .
Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. (HAL) has upgraded Jaguar aircraft with ‘Darin III’ avionics suite package which gives aircraft all-weather capability and is equipped with modern navigation, electronic warfare and weapon delivery system with latest man-machine interface near the glass cockpit and two multi-function displays and head-up display.
Jaguars will also get New Generation Close Combat Missile Advanced Short-Range Air-to-Air Missiles (ASRAAM) developed by MBDA and an Auto-Pilot feature.
i believe the nigerian jaguars age is similiar to the older IAF jaguars and if they have been mothballed carefully they can be revived with a smiliar IAF upgrade plan.can be cost effectvive too since HAL is already looking to upgrade around 123 jaguars.
    it is just my opinion.

    • rka says:

Looks very much like an F-15. Is it the Silent Eagle?

      • lachit says:

        @rka
        great u r correct.
yesterday my friend identified it as a f 35
he got fooled by the air intakes and the DSI hehehe

can u tell what the thing underneath the central fuselage is for?

    • rka says:

I think your friend needs glasses 😀. Not sure what is underneath but it could be a Storm Shadow type cruise missile. I bet you are going to say it is some stealth-like drop tank lol.

      • lachit says:

        @rka
me thinks u and my friend both need glasses and i already wear glasses 😀
the pic already shows 2 drop tanks under each wing then why have another * stealth-like drop tank* LOL
Storm Shadow type cruise missile?? the rear portion has no sign of the control fins .
so the thing underneath the central fuselage must be a stealth optimized pod for carrying GBU-39/B Small Diameter Bomb (SDB) 4 of them atleast.

    • rka says:

Ahh that’s right @lachit, I now recall the pod from when the aircraft was being developed along with conformal fuel tanks. I don’t need glasses as I wear a pair already 😂, although in my defence, I can’ t really see the rear of the pod properly.

It wasn’t implausible about the stealth centerline fuel tank if it was being evaluated despite the underwing tanks. Aircrafts appear in all sorts of configurations when being tested.

      • rka says:

And I was viewing a small screen which doesn’t help. I have enlarged the image and would have guessed correctly if I had done that earlier😉

      • lachit says:

        @rka
i got my glasses upgraded with x ray capability 😀
if u look carefully at the stealth optimized pod in the central fuselage u will notice underneath the pod a split ie for two opening doors/flaps.

“It wasn’t implausible about the stealth centerline fuel tank if it was being evaluated despite the underwing tanks.”
good thinking but from the point of view of commonality different versions of drop tanks dont make sense.
also operationally the drop tanks are used to carry the aircraft withen a decent range of the target and then they are jettisioned before engaging the target.so no need of stealth optimised drop tanks.
also aerodynamically circular drop tanks have been found to be easier to jettision ie they seperate quickly and away from the carrier aircraft than square/rectangle shaped tanks.therefore world over u will only see cylindrical drop tanks in prelevance only.
also the cylindrical drop tanks are already stealth optimized frontal radar cross section is negligible compared to square/rectangle shaped tanks.
        regards

    • Capt Tobias Wilcock says:

That is the only NAF aircraft everybody outside Nigeria is glad to see grounded. including our neighbors and beyond, (only Strategic Asset with real far reaching strike capabilities), right now nothing with the load or range.

a terror organization like BH has a few weakpoints.
say if i was made person incharge of eliminating the BH i would concentrate on these .
    1.financial sources
    2.weapon sources
    3.manpower sources
every terror groups needs these 3 sources to function.
now that the BH has taken flight it will engage in a peoples war ie hide and seek war
it will be more like fighting a invisible army.it will be difficult to identify the terrorist from the civilians.now the BH will operate in small cells each independent of each other.
but the above three factors will be the only reason they will communicate or come in touch with each other.so in order to finish the BH u need to identify the following sources and track them to the BH and then eliminate them.

1.financial sources : they will be both in house and out house financers.the inhouse financial sources can be identified and dealt with easily since they are withen the country.they should be dealt with by convicting or elimanating them entirely.the out-house sources will be more difficult to manage ,u will need to send agents abroad to trace and get evidence or to carry out assasinations to set a example to deter out financers from further supporting the BH.diplomatic pressure can also be tried to stop these foreign financers.

2.weapon sources : classified into weapon dealers and the couriers.first is to target the weakest link ie the couriers, identify them and then interrogate them for the name of the suppliers. if u r lucky u might get some names. (u can take my help any time for this. seriously i have knowledge on some interrogation[torture] techniques which will even make the devil confess :D).and then eliminate/block the arms supplier souces.if the arms suppliers are based in foreign countries then u can use diplomatic pressure to get them to stop or arrested.if nothing works out then u have the option of setting a example by eliminating some of them for deterrance.

3.manpower resouces :this is tricky one since the manpower is composed of own country men.u have to tread carefully. first thing first – u have to identify the people recruiting the civilians for BH.eliminate them.then u have to identify the regions , villages ,communities from where these people are being recruited, then u have to send in forces and politicians to convince them not to joint the terrorists.economic programmes to provide them livelihood should be undertaken so that they have no reason to joint the BH.and just to be on the safe side install some informants to keep tabs on these regions , villages ,communities so that ur alerted to any member trying to get into BH and so that u can take remideal measures pronto.

concentrate on these 3 factors and i am 90% sure BH will loose the power to play the game of attrition as u r seeing now in nigeria via the many bomb blasts targetting the soft targets.

i so wish i was fighting these terror groups 😀 😀 instead of studying for the stupid exams.

Poor attempt at pro-Chadian propaganda. The author is still a learner.

      • Henry says:

That is Oje’s blog. Oje is naija-attitude and the author of that silly write up.

So, don’t bother wasting your time trying to decipher the writer’s(oje) thought. @Eugene4ever

“Oje”,”Naija attitude” of skyscrapercity.com, now known as “conspiracyra”, now naija-attitude blog , founder and author of that ridiculous attempt of a write up. They are all the same person!

The write up is a comic relief, so enjoy it for what it truly is, comedy.

    • Eugene4eveR says:

@General Oje. My sincere apology for my previous sarcastic replies to your posts.

    • Roscoe says:

This is not Oje’s writing style. I can comfortably say it was not written by Oje. Plus we all know ENDS, they are not necessarily pro Chadian, they are “statists” and anti – federal.

      • Henry says:

Rosce, that individual is Oje. It isn’t a question of writing style. Naija-attitude was Oje’s former user name on Skyscrapercity.com. That blog is his blog. It isn’t a question of coincidence.

I just saw this..how could i have missed this. Oga Henry are you sure all is well with you? Im still having a hard time understanding what you are talking about. What the hell is this Oje, Are you fucking shitting me?

  20. Oje says:

I just read what you wrote again.. men what the fuck is wrong with you people in this blog? .. no wit, i am no more a CIA Spook, I am now PRO CHAD? Are you out of your effing mind?

  21. Oje says:

Oga Henry, i want to address you clearly now. Are you now an employ of Igbi? Your accusation is not only stupid its super stupid and ludacris. You honestly think i will somehow magically create a blog, post some pro Chadian shit and then post them on here? Besides that now let us assume (A BIG ASSUME) I am the author of that article is it a criminal act to write something that’s not overtly pro Nigeria? 5 million people follow this blog on a daily basis, Oga beegs yeas of effort and sacrifises will go down the drain when they see %100 content is blindly Pro Nigeria and the very minute few who goes contrary or pro Nigeria is attacked and shreaded to smitherings.

I AM NOT THE AUTHOR OF THAT BLOG, Hell if i am i wont even waste efforts defending what i write, i am not blighted by your shallow blind patriotism and i owe no bloody person an apology. People with your mentality is what has dragged this country to the mud, this ”us against the world” style campaigne. I am clearly the most hated dude in this blog and i must say this is the very last straw, i will not go through this drama again. I will be back in 2 months, by then sanity and freedom of expression should have been respected by then.

    • Henry says:

You are the author of that blog. This isn’t a question of coincidence. You are Naija-attitude, and that is your blog.

Your are the same fellow who introduced yourself to @Tbite as “Naija-attitude from skyscrapercity” a few weeks back right here.

Nope, I don’t know about others, but I certainly do not hate you.
